Team Groups for B Site’s Pop Flash Invitational

On Thursday August 20, B Site unveiled the groups for the Pop Flash Invitational. Slated for August 26 through August 30, the Pop Flash Invitational is the last North American tournament in the Ignition Series. The eight invited teams were split into two groups, that will battle it out in the five day event.

Group A is the more exciting of the two, as it contains several heavy-hitters like Team Solo Mid and Cloud9. TSM has been the team to beat for the past several Ignition Series tournaments, and they are certainly looking to keep the title of best team in North America. Gen.G gave TSM a scare in the Pittsburgh Knights Invitational, but ultimately couldn’t quite finish the job. Lastly, all eyes will be on the new Dignitas squad as they play in their first tournament under the Dignitas banner.

Group B

• Envy
• Immortals
• Sentinels
• T1

While Group A is certainly TSM’s for the taking, Group B is anyone’s for the taking. Sentinels look to be the front runners of the second group, but T1 and Immortals are hungry for a big win. Both Immortals and T1 are searching desperately for that first, first place finish in an Ignition Series event. Envy is the odd man out, as they are still looking to get their feet underneath them. This even could potentially be their breakout tournament, but Envy will have to make some series noise to escape this group.
