Neon Officially Revealed as the Next Agent in VALORANT

Publish Date: January 5, 2022

Blink and you’ll miss it. Neon is finally on the scene.

On Wednesday January 5, VALORANT officially revealed the latest agent in the game. Neon will join the roster as its newest duelist character, and it appears as though she will be bringing some electricity to the tactical shooter.

Along with the announcement tweet, VALORANT supplied fans with an intro video. The short Youtube video shows Neon joining the VALORANT team, as she walks into what appears to be an empty bedroom. In between shots of Neon unpacking and decorating the room are shots of Neon’s gameplay.

As a duelist, Neon comes prepared with an arsenal of offensive skills that are sure to allow players a chance to show off their mechanics. Neon appears to share a high-mobility skill set with Jett. In the short clips, Neon appears to be running much faster than the rest of the cast, at the expensive of being unarmed. It looks as though Neon can also slide after running, a familiar ability from games such as Apex Legends and Destiny.

Neon also looks to have a double smokecreen, similar to that of Phoenix. The notable difference being that it appears as though Neon cannot bend the flames. Either way, the ability looks to be quite a powerful tool for entering site.

The ultimate ability looks like Neon is taking matters into her own hands. Neon appears to shoot electricity from her hands while running around opponents. As an ultimate, this can be a interesting mechanic for players to add to their highlight reels.

Stay tuned for more information on Neon as it becomes available here at The Game Haus.
