After a couple of impressive performances, it looks like Equinox are aiming to keep their stand out stand-in a bit longer. On Wednesday January 27, Equinox Esports announced the signing of Ian “Tex” Botsch to a permanent spot on the VALORANT roster. The long time CS:GO player has now found a home in the burgeoning VALORANT scene.
Tex had stepped into the Equinox roster after the team released long-time member Carlo “Dcop” Delsol shortly after the new year. In his stand-in performances, tex truly delivered with some highlight reel plays. In both the NSG x Complexity Invitational and the Nerd Street Gamers Winter Championship, Tex consistently topped the scoreboard for Equinox. As mainly a duelist, tex lead the charge to beat stiff competition like Dignitas and Cloud9 blue.

Tex previously played on Prospects, and had been in the Counter Strike scene for some time. Tex joins Equinox just in time to play in the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour. Now with a cemented spot on the Equinox roster, tex should continue bring his electric playstyle to a team that is so close to breaking through to the upper echelons of the VALORANT scene.
