League of Legends: Tyler1 Championship Series Returns!

Tyler1 Championship Series

Earlier this week, infamous Twitch streamer Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp announced on Twitter the return of his Tyler1 Championship Series (“TCS”). This long awaited announcement comes just a week after the World Championship, implying how high the stakes really are. Tyler1 is mostly known for his days of flaming, inting, and being banned on a long list of accounts. Riot removed his ban this year and he is once again a familiar face. The most reformed streamer’s return to LoL was triumphant and his stream broke records for most concurrent viewers.

Tyler1 and LoL fans all across the world tuned in last year for his first run with the series and its likely more will turn up this time. This is especially true with the star talent he’ll be bringing. Tim “Trick2g” Foley, Richard “Valkrin” Royer, and Hashinshin are confirmed to be a part of the event, along with “many more.” Last year, a number of prominent streamers including Michael “Imaqtpie” Santana, Joedat “Voyboy” Esfahani, Moe “Yassuo,” William “Scarra” Li, Danny “Shiphtur” Le and many other well-known names competed in the event.

There is much more to the TCS than the tournament. Last year, advertisements for his dietary supplement Bloodrush and his merch store had audiences in tears. Tyler1 declared there will be “unrivaled production” value for this event. Though the production value last year was rough, it was done humorously. It didn’t try to be too serious – Riot has that covered. Tyler1 shows that community based events are still wildly entertaining, without trying to live up to professional standards. Knowing how much passion he has, there is no doubt that all fans of LoL will enjoy this broadcast.

Tournament Details

The tournament will begin on November 26th and run until the finals take place on December 1st. Eight teams will compete for a prize of $10,000. It will be streamed at twitch.tv/loltyler1. The majority of the tournament will be casted by League content creators with Tyler1 casting the finals.

Team space is limited but interested teams can follow the instructions in his Discord channel or use this link to apply. Only the best of the best in North America will be chosen to participate in this prestigious event. Unfortunately, professional players are not allowed to apply. Guess they’ll have to settle for Worlds next year.

Stay tuned to Tyler1’s Twitter for all the latest updates. To watch last year’s finals, go to Tyler1’s YouTube Channel. Finally, make sure to tune in on November 26th for some of the best League of Legends in the Tyler1 Championship Series!
