The name and theme for TFT Set 9 has officially been revealed as Runeterra Reforged. This comes after the usual amount of time from the last set, 8.5. In a Tweet of an announcement of well, an announcement, the TFT Devs showed off the new name for the set and theme.
This truly does not reveal much. The “Reforged” part of the name makes it feel like it will almost be a restart or something changed in a significant way. What that could mean is anyone’s guess.
That being said, the fact that it is set in Runeterra feels like it could see TFT going to a specific region or two of Runeterra. What they would be would also just be a guess as they have done Demacia and Noxus to a certain degree along with Piltover. Could they be setting it in Freljord with the forge reference to maybe Ornn? Even that feels like a stretch considering the picture they used for the Tweet.
Regardless, this will be the last set with a mid-set which will certainly change things up. Players will be getting new themes, champions and more with each year starting with TFT Set 10 which should be releasing in a few months.
TFT Set 9 will be coming soon and players will be looking forward to getting more information throughout the next few days before the new set drops.
