TFT Item Reworks Announced with Patch 14.5

Publish Date: May 13, 2025

New Items are getting added to Teamfight Tactics with Patch 14.5. They will all be reworked core items that should be adding quite a bit to the game and potentially changing the meta significantly. Here is a quick look at all of the TFT Item Reworks in Patch 14.5 with some thoughts in there as well.

TFT Item Reworks Patch 14.5

Redemption Out | Spirit Visage In

  • Tear & Belt
    • 150 Health
    • 15 Mana
    • 10% Durability
    • Restore 2.5% of Missing Health Each Second

This will be a very strong frontline item for tanks. You will be losing the damage reduction but, instead of only restoring health every 5 seconds, you will be getting 2.5% every second. This will also not be healing your other units, so make sure to keep that in mind.

Also, Anima Visage as an Artifact is no longer in the game with this change.

Runaan’s Hurricane Out | Kraken’s Fury In

  • Bow & Cloak
    • 25 Attack Damage
    • 10% Attack Speed
    • 20 Magic Resist
    • Attacks Grant 3% Attack Damage

It looks like Guinsoos and Krakens will be quite the popular build. This will see backline play for many AD Carries but also some frontline play for attack speed units. Hurricane will be reworked into an Artifact and Category Five will be disabled.

Statikk Shiv Out | Void Staff In

  • Tear & Bow
    • 35% Ability Power
    • 15 Mana
    • 10% Attack Speed
    • Attacks and Magic Damage shred 30% of the target’s Magic Resist for 3 seconds (non-stacking)

This is essentially Last Whisper but as an AP item. The 35% ability power will be considerable and for certain AP carries, especially those that have AOE abilities, the shred should be better and more consistent. Shiv will become an Artifact instead as well. Shock Treatment is getting disabled.

Guinsoo’s Rageblade

  • Rod & Bow
    • Grants 6% stacking Attack Speed per second

This is a potentially sizeable nerf to Guinsoo’s. While per second may not seem like much, considering it was 5% per attack, this will make Guinsoo’s a bit stronger earlier but weaker later in fights. It will help some slower attack speed champions, though, which could lead to interesting new builds.

Sterak’s Gage

  • Sword & Belt
    • 250 Health
    • 30 Attack Damage
    • 10% Omnivamp
    • At 60% Health, Gain an 80% Max HP Shield that decays over 4 seconds.

It may not look like massive changes, but the extra health, AD and Omnivamp will help much more than you think. The loss of max health and AD at the 60% threshold will feel different but this is a major upgrade for many bruisers and fighters.

Guardbreaker Renamed to Striker’s Flail

  • Glove & Belt
    • 150 Health
    • 15% Attack Speed
    • 20% Crit Chance
    • 10% Damage Amp
    • Crits grant 5% Damage Amp for 5 Seconds, stacking up to 3 times.

Guardbreaker has been in a weird place since the start but this takes away its reliance on shields. It will be interesting to see whether or not that will have a major impact on the usage of the items as it goes more into Crit directly.

Flicketblade (Artifact)

  • 15% Attack Speed
  • 10 AD and AP
  • Attacks grant 5% stacking Attack Speed. Every 5 attacks also grant 4 Attack Damage and 5 Ability Power.

Indomitable Gauntlet (Artifact)

  • 450 Health
  • 20 Armor and MR
  • The holder’s Move Speed is drastically reduced. Gain 10% max Health, stun immunity, and pull the current target into melee range.

Statikk Shiv (Artifact)

  • 25 AP
  • 20% Attack Speed
  • Every 3rd attack deals 50 + 50% of the holder’s Ability Power as bonus magic damage to 4 enemies.

Titanic Hydra (Artifact)

  • 300 Health
  • 15 AD
  • 15 Attack Speed
  • Attacks deal 3% of the holder’s max Health plus 25% of their Attack Damage as bonus physical damage to the target and adjacent enemies.
