It appears that new quality of life changes have just recently been added to TFT’s PBE testing server that applies to the banner at the top of the screen and to the board itself. The changes are to the appearance of the banner at the top of the screen, making it more minimalist and easy to understand, and also that the board will now display a watermark-like symbol letting players know that they need to place additional units on the board.
Here are screenshots of each of the new changes, taken from a PBE game at 10:30 am CST on 10/25.

Often times visual clutter is what makes games appear more complicated than they actually may be. With that in mind, these should both help the simplicity of the game and make the entry easier for new players. Since this is on the PBE, however, this is subject to change and alteration before going to main servers.
