The full details of the 9.18 patch notes for TFT have officially been released. These changes will officially go live tomorrow, September 11. Below are the major new additions coming, featuring a new Mystery Box system for distributing loot in the PvE rounds. Below is an explanation of that new system, per the official announcement.
Other Key Changes
Outside of the new Mystery Box System, there are several other, larger systems changes coming to TFT as well as a laundry list of Trait and Item changes. Because the list is quite exhaustive, only the most notable will be listed here.
Wild Buff
Largest among the trait changes are the updates that are coming to Wild units. Below are the, likely very impactful, changes coming to Wild.
Addition of Consumable Item: Neeko’s Help
This is one that has been in the works for some time, but will finally be going live with this patch. Placing Neeko’s Help on a champ adds a 1-star copy of that champion and adds it to a players bench. The item is then consumed.
New Nine Unit Bonuses
The Assassin and Sorcerer classes both get new nine-unit bonuses in this new patch. Although the devs state that this is not a teaser for new champions, it could indicate more of these units in the future. Here is an image of the announcement.
