For the first time since the start of TFT Set 16, Unlocks for certain champions have changed. There have been calls for this since launch and they have likely changed the landscape of the game. Here are the 3 Best TFT Comps to help you climb during Patch 16.3.
TFT Patch 16.3 Comps
As always, there will be carryovers and some of these might seem similar but these TFT Patch 16.3 Comps are designed to you quickly rise the ranks.
Comp 1: Blood Brothers

This comp is very easy to play and may be slightly contested but at least at the start of the patch, it will be mostly unnoticed.
- Getting Ionia going quickly with Jhin, Shen, Xin Xiao or Yasuo is crucial for this one.
- You will want to winstreak and get to level 6 to start rolling for Yasuo.
- As a reminder, the faster you a 3-star Yasuo, the faster you get Yone.
- Play around whatever other Slayer and Ionia you can find.
- There are other options for Ionia champions as well, you can grab those along the way to get to Ionia 5 and even 7 until you get the rest of the comp.
- For items, you will want to focus on Edge of Night and Titan’s Resolve. You need to get at least one of each and will transfer them over to Yone once you get Yone 2.
- Beyond that you need to focus on getting Yunara as she will be the most contested on the patch. If you have to, you can switch to Ahri and Lux or Annie and Tibbers with Ahri instead of Yunara and Kindred.
- Beyond that, just make sure that you don’t forget the unlock for Sett at level 8 and you will coast.
- At level 9 you can add champions in this order:
- Ornn (for Artifact Item)
- Fiddlesticks (for Damage and CC)
- Zilean (to help you get to Level 10 faster)

Comp 2: Demacia Flex

This is technically more than one comp but you can’t go wrong with either. Also, this is a very easy one to learn that is still extremely strong.
- Nothing complicated here but get to Demacia 3 as quickly as you can. Likely with J4, Sona and Xin Zhao.
- Unlock Poppy with tank items on Xin or AP Items on Sona.
- Then you can find either a Juggernaught, Defender, Warden or Invoker to pair with the team.
- If you go anything other than defender, then take J4 out for Poppy for now.
- Invoker is the weakest, depending on items.
- After this, the goal is to get to 7 Demacia as quickly as possible, picking up other strong units along the way.
- Always have 3 Demacia until you get to level 5 then get to 5 Demacia as quickly as you can and then 7 when you get to level 7.
- Once there, you need to do everything you can to get Galio unlocked.
- Then you get to decide.
- If you get a Spatula and can get a Demacia Emblem then go the Swain Route.
- If you don’t, Kai’Sa is unlocked earlier and you can go with her and Vayne.
- If you go this route, then you can top everything off with a Ziggs at level 9.
- What items you get will help you decide on which comp you can go as well.
- If you get more AD items, then go with the Vayne comp.
- If you get more AP items, then focus on Lux.
- Do not forget on Garen items and getting him to 2-Star as quickly as you can. Sacrificing some gold once you are at level 7 to roll a bit for Garen 2 is worth it.
- Finally, when you get Galio, you should give him as many Negatron Cloak items as possible. Not only does it make him strong defensively, but he can actually dish out a serious amount of damage as a third carry.
Comp 3: Ekko Carry

People will see Ekko getting a nerf and think that he is not worth playing. Take advantage of this and play this one as often as you can.
- You need to start with Blitzcrank, Ekko and Vi as quickly as possible.
- Then to unlock Singed, just make sure you play another Zaunite at some point.
- Beyond this, you need to focus on win streaking if you can as early Ekko is a bit weaker without perfect items.
- You can go with either Neeko or Malzahar as your fourth champion when you reach level 4 or level 5.
- Try to get to level 6 and be above 50 Gold.
- Then you can slow roll to get Ekko to 3-Star, hopefully quickly but if not and you need to stabilize, you can go to level 7 and then roll for him.
- What is more important is your unlocks.
- Everyone is playing Neeko and Vi right now, you may have to wait a bit to reroll for them. Focus on Neeko 2 over Vi and potentially even over Ekko 3 so that you can get Nidalee.
- Once you unlock Singed, most people are not playing him so getting him to 2-Star is a good move.
- Throw on a Titan’s Resolve and Ionic Spark and you will be surprised at how tanky he is and he will often deal out much more damage than you think. He gets to 25 on Titan’s Resolve faster than just about any other unit in the game.
- Finally, to top things off, get Annie at level 8 and throw in Tibbers at level 9. Annie received a small buff and the addition of damage from Arcanist 4 will make your three main carries in Ekko, Nidalee and Singed hit that much harder.
