Pyra & Mythra Revealed as the Newest Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Character

During the latest Nintendo Direct, Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles was revealed to be the new character to join the Super Smash Brothers roster. This reveal comes a bit out of left field as many had not been expecting more characters from Xenoblade Chronicles to be coming to the game. They join Shulk as representatives from the game. Mythra Smash Brothers

They will be coming to Super Smash Brothers Ultimate in March and will be the fourth character to come with the second DLC Fighter Pass. Their abilities are currently unknown but similar to Shulk they are sword characters. Their Final Smash also showed off Rex who many thought would be the next character if any were to come from Xenoblade Chronicles. Either way, they are expecting to reveal their abilities soon.

This does add yet another sword character to the game. Many fans will not be happy about this as they were hoping for a character like Crash Bandicoot or Doom Guy. While they could still come in this fighter pass, it is another spot taken by characters that people were not necessarily asking for. The hope is that they will be fun and bring a new dynamic to the game. Even if they don’t Xenoblade Chronicle fans are probably very happy.
