Nickelodeon’s platform fighter “Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl” will be revealing two new brawlers later this week at Gamescom Future Game Show. The game has reserved a lot of praise from Smash competitors and could be a big competitor to the Super Smash Brothers series. The game show will commence Thursday, August 26th and will showcase multiple games.

The developers of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, Ludosity, have developed another platform fighter, Slap City. The game has been praised for its similar mechanics to Super Smash Bros. Melee. The Smash community has been ecstatic over Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s reveal. Players such as Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma, have commented on the All-Star Brawl, saying it could be a major competitor to Super Smash Bros.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has already revealed fourteen characters that will be in the game. While Nickelodeon has a massive backlog of character choices. Fans have been clamoring to see characters from the “Jimmy Neutron” and “The Fairly OddParents” series join the brawl.
This showcase will more than likely allow viewers to see the game in action. Mechanics such as wavedashing have been shown in-game in the past. However, there are still many things that potential players would like to see within the game.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl shows potential in being a top competitor to smash even before it’s release. Many players are excited to have rollback netcode support for better online play. This is a major plus to the game due to Super Smash bros. Ultimate not having rollback. Many have speculated that this game may be the “smash killer,” only time will tell if this will come to fruition, but so far, Nickelodeon is on the right track.
