Super Bowl LIX Pick Against the Spread

Publish Date: January 27, 2025

The Super Bowl is here. Picking NFL games straight up is hard enough, but picking against the spread is even tougher. Here is the Super Bowl LIX pick against the spread. (Spreads are from Tallysight as of Tuesday morning)

Last week: 1-1

Season: 156-121-4

Super Bowl LIX

Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5) at Philadelphia Eagles (Game in New Orleans, Louisiana)

The Chiefs were able to come back and defeat the Bills in the AFC Championship Game. While they haven’t really played up to their potential, they have just one loss on the season. The defense has been great, as defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has headed up a unit that allows just 19.4 points per game. On offense, things haven’t looked as crisp as in other years, but they have done enough to win games. Wih the return of Hollywood Brown, the offense has looked better.

Philadelphia blew out Washington in the NFC Championship Game. They sport a great defense and have been able to run the ball well this season. With Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley being able to run the ball well, they have run through the NFC portion of the playoffs. They have a well-balanced team, which makes them tough to gameplan for and defeat.

In Super Bowl LIX, the Chiefs will be going for the three-peat. Kansas City has the quarterback to lead them to victory, again. A lot of pressure will be put on Hurts, who has struggled throwing the ball at times this season. He played well in the last Super Bowl matchup against these teams, but will have to throw the ball well to give his team a chance. The Chiefs can make things tough on him and get a close win.

Pick: Chiefs
