An Outpost in Starfield serves as a base of operations of sorts. Here you can farm for different kinds of resources that will prove useful for your expeditions. To build an outpost You need to open the scanner on a planet. On Xbox: LB / on PC: F > walk around until the “Outpost” prompt at the bottom of the screen turns from gray to white > then you can press Xbox: X / PC: R to place an Outpost: In order to place it successfully you need to be near a resource vain.
When placing the Outpost beacon, the next thing you should do is build an Extractor over a Resource Vein. Every planet has different resources available so it’s important to try to make an Outpost when possible. Once that’s done you should build a Power Resource to output at least 5 Power for the Extractor to work. Build a Resource Container and connect the Extractor to it so the resources you gather can be stored. When the opportunity is given, create Cargo Links to automatically trade resources between your Outposts.
Buying a house in Starfield is a streamlined process. To get a house in Starfield, you’ll need to buy it using in-game currency or by completing certain quests that come up.
