Barrett is the fun and easygoing companion of the Constellation. Return and rescue him from the Crimson Fleet to make him a companion.
Barrett is an all-ground good guy, who would rather use jokes and light-hearted banter to resolve conflict instead of threats and violence. With Barrett in the party, players will want to do the following:
With enough time and conversations with Barrett, a Companion Quest will be unlocked taking things to the next level.
When the time is right players will receive Barrett’s Breach of Contract Companion Quest. Overall the quest will be about conducting an investigation into his husband’s death. There are three main pieces of evidence that players can give to a lawyer who will help with the case. Although it’s possible to end the mission early it’s important to have all pieces of evidence. If all evidence isn’t collected and the mission is attempted to turn in Barret will be upset with the player’s lack of effort. The 3 pieces of evidence are located at the following locations:

Upon completing the mission pick the romance option to take things to the next level. After 30-90 minutes of playtime, Barret will want to talk again and choose the commitment dialogue option. Complete the “Commitment: Barrett“ quest to be officially married.
