Pirates are some of the most interesting characters and options in any game. They even have their own genre and one of the all-time biggest movie series because of their popularity. Space Pirates and being able to be one is not necessarily new, but the way that Starfield could handle it seems to be something that could attract a lot of people.

Starfield Pirate

The short answer to if players can be a Pirate in Starfield is, yes. They can technically be one just by the way that they play the game. attacking unknowing ships, boarding them and stealing their loot before someone can come and stop them.

While that is all fun and good, Bethesda clearly thought ahead here and actually added the ability for players to be a pirate within a major side story for the game.

The Crimson Fleet Faction are a bunch of pirates that the player is initially supposed to infiltrate. But then, the player can be recruited and the rest is pirate history.

For players to sail the stars, they will have to join the United Colonies Vanguard first and be given the mission so make sure that is at the top of the list when starting the game.
