The Washington Wizards made back-to-back moves just before the 2022 NBA trade deadline. They have traded Montrezl Harrell to the Charlotte Hornets for Ish Smith and Vernon Carey. They also sent Aaron Holiday to the Phoenix Suns, who have also been busy near the end of the trade window.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.
Reports have not yet surfaced of what the Suns are giving the Wizards in return for Aaron Holiday. However, they are receiving a sophomore center in Vernon Carey, Jr. and one of the most veteran guards in the league in Ish Smith in return for power forward Montrezl Harrell.
Smith is in his 12th season in the NBA. This will be his second stint with the Wizards, and keeps his number of teams he has played for at 12.
