The Minnesota Vikings have made a few moves on Monday, just over two weeks before the season officially begins. They have traded for quarterback Nick Mullens already; now they are releasing wide receiver Albert Wilson and defensive lineman Julian Taylor.
Wilson went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, but was picked up as an undrafted free agent by the Kansas City Chiefs. He spent four seasons there before spending 2018-2021 with the Miami Dolphins. He had just signed with the Minnesota Vikings on June 1, 2022 before being cut on August 23. In his eight-year career, Wilson has 218 receptions for just under 2,500 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Taylor was a seventh round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the 49ers. He spent most of his career there before being brought in as a practice squad player in 2021 by the Titans, but did not make the team. Taylor was signed by the Vikings on April 7, and cut today.
