Tommy La Stella fractured his tibia and will likely be out for 8-10 weeks, the Angels announced on Wednesday. La Stella batted with the bases loaded in the sixth inning of last nights game against the Texas Rangers when he fouled a ball off of his right leg. The medical staff helped La Stella off the field after the injury.
Tommy La Stella was just voted to his first all-star game on Monday. However, his injury will cause him to miss the game. Tampa Bays Rays’ second basemen Brandon Lowe will replace him.
