Week Three of the CWL Global Pro League is in the books. eUnited and Luminosity are moving on to the Stage One Playoffs, Epsilon fell just short of qualifying and placed 3rd, and Millenium are headed to Relegation. Below are the biggest takeaways from the weekend.
Twice this weekend, we saw eUnited go down 0-2 in a series and come roaring back. eUnited’s ability to keep a level head when down against any opponent has aided them immensely throughout the Infinite Warfare season.
eUnited’s most notable reverse-seep came during the Grand Finals of CWL Dallas against OpTic Gaming. Although they would end up losing the second best-of-five after resetting the bracket, they proved their resiliency.
With a stacked group this weekend, every matchup was important as eUnited attempted to cement themselves in the Stage One Playoffs of the GPL. On Friday, eUnited was able to clutch up and defeat Luminosity Gaming after starting 0-2 in their second match of the weekend. Then on Sunday, they again kept their composure and reverse-swept Epsilon to open the day.
eUnited take first in their group
When Joshua-Lee “Joshh” Shepard left Splyce, the best team in Europe, to join a struggling Epsilon squad after CWL Paris, many had their doubts. Epsilon’s first event with Joshh, CWL Dallas, ended with them placing 21-24th. After choking a 5-1 lead in Search & Destroy to SetToDestoryX, Epsilon failed to qualify for Pool Play.
After a disappointing finish at Dallas, Epsilon would go on to win the next two Online MLG 2K Series, then win CWL Birmingham with a 6-0 victory over Splyce in the Grand Finals.
Although they fell just short of qualifying for the Stage One Playoffs, Epsilon has seen a vast improvement with their new addition.

As a team, Luminosity Gaming can slay with the best in the world. The combined forces of Nicholas “Classic” Di Costanzo, Josiah “Slacked” Berry, and Sam “Octane” Larew, and Renato “Saints” Forza have made LG a respawn game mode juggernaut.
While LG was able to flourish in Hardpoint and Uplink, the team struggled to secure wins in Search & Destroy. Recently, at CWL Dallas, they ended the event with a 30% win rate in S&D game mode.
This weekend, however, we saw LG able to take S&D maps off every team due to their new play style. Every member of LG boasts an incredible amount of gun skill, and they’ve found a way to capitalize on it. Luminosity is now moving as a four-man group, hitting bomb sites together and taking the gun fights handily. They finished the weekend with a 63% win rate in the game mode, a much-needed improvement for the team headed forward.
The Millenium team came to Columbus a week before their group played to get extra LAN practice before Week Three. Last week, Millenium spent their time scrimming FaZe Clan, Rise Nation, Evil Geniuses, and Fnatic in hopes of honing their skills for their turn in the GPL.
Unfortunately for Millenium, they would end the weekend with a 0-6 series count, only able to steal four map wins. After multiple top eight placing’s this year, expectations for the team were high, but when it came time to preform Millenium fell short. They will now enter Relegation in hopes of making it into Stage Two of the GPL.
