The Phoenix Suns will hire Philadelphia 76ers assistant Monty Williams to be their next head coach according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Williams, 47, will stay with Philadelphia throughout their playoff run before joining the Suns. He was formerly a head coach in New Orleans from 2010-2015, compiling a 173-221 record five seasons. He also has experience as an assistant in Portland and Oklahoma City.
The Suns finished this season with a 19-63 record, but have some intriguing young players to work with in DeAndre Ayton and Devin Booker.
