The Baltimore Ravens are expected to add a veteran presence to their injured defense. Kyle Van Noy, formerly of the Miami Dolphins, is joining the Ravens practice squad first, and is likely to be promoted to the active roster.
NFL insider Dov Kleiman tweeted out the news via Twitter, originally reported by Josina Anderson.
Van Noy was a second round draft pick (40th overall) in 2014. In 2016, he joined the New England Patriots and won both Super Bowl LI and LIII with the team before bouncing around to the Dolphins, the Patriots (again) and the Chargers in back-to-back-to-back years.
Last year, Van Noy played in 17 games, starting in 13. He racked up 46 combined tackles, five sacks, three pass defenses and a forced fumble in 2023. His best season came in 2018, a Super Bowl-winning year, in which he collected 92 combined tackles, an interception and two fumble recoveries.
