Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman has a season-ending foot injury. He will undergo surgery to repair a Lisfranc injury, which will put a premature end to his 2022 season. This is the second time in two years in the NFL that Bateman will be placed on injured reserve.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.
Bateman was a first round draft pick of the Ravens out of the University of Minnesota in 2022. This made him the first player out of Minnesota to become a first round pick since 2006. He was placed on IR to begin his rookie season, but was activated in October of 2021.
In a total of 18 games played (nine starts), Bateman has posted 61 receptions for exactly 800 yards. He scored one touchdown last season and two in 2022. He had 285 yards in six games this season, and will be able to return in 2023.
