Players to Watch at The U.S. Open

    Jason Day

The world ranked number one golfer has won seven of his last eighteen starts, dating back to last year. Many experts and analysts are picking Day to take home the trophy this week and if he’s on the golf course, he’s got a chance to take home a big slice of the prize money and another piece of wall candy by just playing his game. Day’s performance the last 12 months has been immaculate, even after taking a three-month offseason where he hardly picked up a club. That’s almost unheard of in the sport of golf, but if Day wants to take that time off and come back only to not miss a beat, is it really to be questioned? Day will be teeing off on the front nine with partners Adam Scott and Louis Oosthuizen at 2:20 PM ET.
