Beverly was a huge part of the Clippers success last season. He averaged 7.6 points, five rebounds and 3.8 assists last year. While average offensively, Patrick Beverly is a player any team would want.
Despite not making an All-Defensive team this year, Beverly is a lockdown perimeter defender and a leader on the Clippers. Having him around is a great compliment to potential stars that could come to L.A., in this case Kawhi Leonard.
Leonard will meet with the Clippers, as well as Lakers, this week. Having Beverly locked-in long term will make choosing the Clippers even more of a possibility.
