However Thursday’s game drew an even larger crowd of 17,758 fans. This can be credited to the Liberty’s outstanding play this season and the stardom of Angel Reese. The Liberty are having the best start in franchise history with a then 19-4 record after defeating the Sky. Reese also increased her record breaking double-double streak to 15 games after Thursday.
In conclusion, Angel Reese combined with solid performances brings more eyes to the game which drives ticket sales and revenue for these WNBA teams. The WNBA continues to break its own records and grow at an exponential rate.
