Mike Leake Traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks

The Seattle Mariners have traded starting pitcher Mike Leake to the Arizona Diamondbacks according to ESPN.

Leake has been with the Mariners for two and a half seasons after spending time with the Reds and Cardinals. He has a 9-8 record with a 4.40 ERA this season.

While they are just .500, the Diamondbacks still could make the playoffs as a Wild Card team. Their record is 54-54 and with the addition of Leake, Arizona looks to be trying for a playoff push.

There aren’t any details on what the Mariners will receive in return yet.
