Leake has been with the Mariners for two and a half seasons after spending time with the Reds and Cardinals. He has a 9-8 record with a 4.40 ERA this season.
While they are just .500, the Diamondbacks still could make the playoffs as a Wild Card team. Their record is 54-54 and with the addition of Leake, Arizona looks to be trying for a playoff push.
There aren’t any details on what the Mariners will receive in return yet.
