The Patriots have made their biggest splash of the day by signing linebacker Mathew Judon to a massive 4-year contract worth $56 Million. Adam Schefter was the first to report the news on Monday.
And the spending spree in Foxboro continues: Former Ravens’ LB Matt Judon reached agreement on a four-year, $56 million deal, including $32 million guaranteed with the New England Patriots, per sources.

Despite never reaching the double digit sack mark in a season, Judon is still considered a big name edge rusher in the league. The Patriots’ pass rush has been diminishing over the years so it’s no surprise that Bill Belichick made this move to bolster those numbers. Judon could also be seen as the perfect mentor to young edge rusher Josh Uche.
Judon is coming off a down year after only racking up six sacks. Clearly the Patriots see enough potential to offer the former Raven a huge deal.
