The suspension stems from a February 2017 altercation where Hunt was caught on video shoving and kicking a woman. According to cleveland.com, the suspension also includes a physical altercation at an Ohio resort in June 2018.
Hunt, 23, was initially kept on the roster by the Kansas City Chiefs after initial reports of the first incident came out. After the video was released to the public, the Chiefs released Hunt, making him a free agent. He played 11 games for the Chiefs in 2018.
This offseason, his former general manager in Kansas City, John Dorsey, signed Hunt for the Browns. He will miss half the season, but then will join budding running back Nick Chubb in Cleveland’s backfield.
