Johnson, Castro Neck and Neck at BMW Championship

The Game Haus StaffBy The Game Haus StaffSeptember 9, 2016Updated:September 11, 20162 Mins Read

Through two days at the BMW Championship, Dustin Johnson and Robert Castro have locked horns at the top of the leaderboard.

Castro has been playing some phenomenal golf over the past two days going 7-under-par for two days straight. During those two days, Castro has only recorded one bogey to 15 birdies, giving him a share of the lead in both of those categories.

Castro currently sits at No. 53 in the FedEx Cup standings but a win, his first win of his career mind you, would catapult him into sixth place and secure him a spot at the Tour Championship by Coca-Cola.

On the flip side, Johnson just shattered the Crooked Stick course record yesterday recording a 9-under-par 63. Johnson notched two eagles and five birdies to zero bogeys this afternoon.

Johnson has had a record year finishing in the top-10, 13 times, two of which were wins. Not only has he had an impeccable win, Johnson seems to love it in Carmel, Indiana; or at least at Crooked Stick, given he has yet to shoot anything below par in his last 6 rounds.

Castro and Johnson tee off alongside Paul Casey (11-under) at 1:01 p.m.

Jordan Spieth, 4-under-par, struggled all day to stay at even-par on his round but made some stellar shots along the way, especially during this par-save on the 18th hole after pushing his drive right and into the water.

Most people would’ve made bogey at best.

Jordan Spieth isn’t most people. https://t.co/gBAfpPqf1H

Play will resume today at 11 a.m. with television coverage starting at 12 p.m. on NBC then switching to the Golf Channel at 3:30 p.m.

Until then, I’ll leave you on the lighter side.
