Joe Flacco will be traded or cut by the Baltimore Ravens in the offseason according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
If the Ravens are unsuccessful in finding a trading partner in the offseason, they will cut the 33-year-old quarterback.
For Baltimore, they can save at least $10 million in cap room by moving on from Flacco, who is owed a base salary of $18.5 million in 2019.
The Ravens have started Lamar Jackson at quarterback for the last seven games of the regular season. His play has helped Baltimore to a 7-1 record with him starting. They also were able to win the division and qualify for the playoffs.
Flacco has led his team to a Super Bowl victory and has a career record of 96-67. He was a first-round draft choice by the team in 2008.
