Fantasy Football Week 15 Quarterback Rankings

Publish Date: December 13, 2023

The 2023-24 NFL season has been outstanding so far. Already there have been a ton of breakout players and fantasy duds that have made the game so entertaining. Bye weeks are officially over. This means that playoffs have likely began in your fantasy leagues. During the playoffs Fantasy Managers will have full utilization of their roster and need to make sure they have backup options on their roster incase their stars get hurt. There have plenty of injuries this season to crucial players that make the pool of players to choose from on waivers that much thinner. It’s always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the fantasy football week 15 quarterback rankings.

[Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to Injured Reserve List]

[Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week]

Key:

Must Start- a player who should definitely be in your lineup that week because of the combination of matchup and talent. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and could repeat the production most weeks.

Starter- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.

Low-End Starter- a player who should be started in most lineups but can possibly bottom out and finish below average on a given week. A high ceiling play in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.

Streamer- a player who could be a perfect replacement for a starter for a week or two. Starting this player may not win you your lineup but they will make sure that your production out of that position will not lose you your matchup either. Also a viable option in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.

Deep League Streamer- a player who could fill a void at a position in a deeper league. Their ceiling may be close to average point production at the position but their floor is enough to get through the week. A reasonable player to have in your lineup in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.

Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Players that are could miss this week’s game

QB7 C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

C.J. Stroud is currently in concussion protocol after suffering a concussion last week against the New York Jets. At this point Stroud has not been ruled out for this week’s game. If Stroud misses Week 15 against the Tennessee Titans Davis Mills becomes the QB23 between Joe Flacco and Nick Mullens.

QB14 Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks

Geno Smith missed last week’s game against the San Francisco 49ers with a groin injury. It is unclear if Smith will miss more time due to the injury. If Smith misses Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles Drew Lock becomes the QB23 between Joe Flacco and Nick Mullens.

QB25 Zach Wilson, New York Jets

Zach Wilson suffered a knee injury last week against the Houston Texans. It is unclear if Wilson will miss any time because of the injury If Wilson misses Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins Trevor Siemian becomes the QB28 between Desmond Ridder and Easton Stick.

QB26 Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints

Derek Carr is still dealing with injuries to his shoulder and ribs. Carr has dealt with multiple injuries throughout the season. If Carr misses Week 15 against the New York Giants Jameis Winston becomes the QB24 between Nick Mullens and Zach Wilson. Taysom Hill could also see a ramp up in work at quarterback while Carr is out making him an interesting play at tight end.

Players that are currently not expected to play

Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

Last week against the Denver Broncos Justin Herbert broke his right index finger. Herbert was placed on Injured Reserve for the injury which will end his season. Despite a ton of injuries to his playmakers Herbert had a great year. Backup quarterback Easton Stick will start for Los Angeles for the rest of the season.

Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh Steelers

Kenny Pickett missed last week’s game against the New England Patriots with an ankle injury. Pickett received tightrope surgery for his right high-ankle sprain. He will not return this week which keeps Mitch Trubisky in line to start for Pittsburgh. But as games get crucial down the stretch Trubisky could be on a short leash for Mason Rudolph who had started games for the Steelers in previous years.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Cleveland Browns

Dorian Thompson-Robinson was active for last week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However he did not start for the team. Following the win Joe Flacco was named the starting quarterback for the rest of the season. This puts Thompson-Robinson on the bench as the backup to Flacco for the rest of the year.
