Backup quarterback Easton Stick has re-signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. According to reports, he has signed a one-year, $1.8 million contract to continue to backup star QB, Justin Herbert. He’s only thrown one NFL pass, back in 2020.
The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Monday.
Stick attended and played for North Dakota State University, where he became a four-time FCS Champion (2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018). He was chosen in the fifth round by the Chargers in 2019 where he has shared a quarterback room with Chase Daniel and Herbert.
In Week 3 of 2020, Stick entered the game for an injured Herbert, but was called back to the sideline before the ball was snapped. He has thrown one NFL pass, back in 2020. It was a completion for four yards. He hasn’t made it back into a game since.
