Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku has officially been ruled out for Week 13’s matchup with the Houston Texans. He suffered a knee injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and, despite practicing all week, has officially been sidelined.
ESPN’s Matt Fontana tweeted the news on Friday.
Njoku has 41 receptions on 52 targets so far this season. He’s collected 464 yards and two touchdowns on the year, with Jacoby Brissett as his quarterback. He has not played in every game of a season since 2018, his sophomore season.
Week 13 also marks Deshaun Watson’s return from suspension and his first game as a Brown. Cleveland happens to be playing Watson’s old team, the Houston Texans in his return. They are 4-7, sitting three games behind the Bengals and Ravens in the division.
