The Washington Commanders have given guard Sam Cosmi a four-year, $74 million extension according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. In the deal, Cosmi will get $45 million guaranteed.
Cosmi, 25, was a second-round pick by the Commanders in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was drafted as a tackle, but moved to guard during his time in Washington. In his first three seasons in the league, Cosmi has started 32 games on the Commanders’ offensive line.
Washington will hope that Cosmi can protect their new franchise quarterback Jayden Daniels, as they continue to rebuild.
