The Bills and Cardinals have engaged in a trade just two weeks ahead of the start of the 2022-2023 regular season. Buffalo has agreed to trade offensive guard Cody Ford to the Cardinals for a 2023 fifth round pick.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news on Monday via Twitter.
Ford was a second round draft pick out of the University of Oklahoma by the Buffalo Bills in 2019. He has played his entire career there until now. In college he was named a Third Team All-American in 2018 and First Team All-Big 12 in 2019.
He has played in 38 games in his NFL career, starting 29 of them. In his career, Ford played 69 percent of the Bills’ offensive snaps in his rookie year, 83 percent his sophomore season and 47 percent in 2021. Ford has also recovered two offensive fumbles in his career.
