The Eagles have made a blockbuster trade for linebacker/defensive end Robert Quinn ahead of the post-Week 8 deadline. The haul the Bears are receiving a fourth rounder in return for Quinn, while also paying $7.1 million of his 2022 salary.
The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.
2022 is Quinn’s 12th season after being selected with the 14th overall pick of the first round in the 2011 NFL Draft by the (then St. Louis) Rams. After seven seasons with the franchise he was traded to the Dolphins, then the Cowboys in back-to-back years. He signed a five-year deal with the Bears ahead of the 2020 season.
In seven games this season, Quinn has just one sack and eight combined tackles with no other statistics of note. He has been selected to three Pro Bowls, a First Team All-Pro and a Second Team All-Pro in previous years.
