The Atlanta Braves have traded for relief pitcher Shane Greene of the Detroit Tigers according to Ken Rosenthal. The deal was confirmed by ESPN’s Buster Onley.
Greene, 30, has an ERA of 1.18 this season in 38 appearances for the Tigers. He was selected to be in his first All-Star Game this season.
The Braves will hope Greene can help the bullpen, which has a 4.15 ERA. If the Bullpen improves, Atlanta can make a run at the World Series, as they currently sit in first place in the National League East with a record of 63-45.
