With just over a quarter of the season complete the WNBA All-Star Voting has begun. Voting began on June 13 at 2:00pm and will conclude on June 29 at 11:59pm.
AT&T will again be the title partner for the WNBA All-Star game, including on-court logo placement, signage and unique activation opportunities. This continues the company’s partnership with the NBA and WNBA first contracted in 2019.
Fan votes account for 50% of the vote and players and media each have 25% stake. The fan votes will act as a tie breaker for players with the same score.
After the initial voting period from these three groups, the top 10 vote-getters who have not already been named to the USA Women’s National Team 5-on-5 roster will automatically be assigned to Team WNBA.
The names of the next 36 highest vote-getters, comprised of at least 9 backcourt and 15 frontcourt players, will then be provided to the WNBA head coaches, who will vote to fill the remaining spots. Coaches will not be able to vote for their own players. Additionally, Team WNBA will have 12 roster spots.
Fans may submit one full ballot per day with up to 10 players, 6 front court and 4 backcourt players. Fans can vote on the WNBA App or WNBA.com.
Rosters will be announced on Tuesday, July 2.
There are three, “2-for-1 Days” on June 16, June 22 and June 27 when the fan ballots count twice.
The 2024 AT&T All-Star Game is at 8:30pm on Saturday, July 20 at Footprint Center in Phoenix. The game will feature a matchup of the USA Basketball Women’s National 5-on-5 Team versus the WNBA All-Stars. Tickets to the game are sold-out.
The WNBA held its inaugural Team USA vs. Team WNBA format for the 2021 All-Star Game. Team WNBA defeated the USA Basketball squad 93-85 with Arike Ogunbowale leading the charge and earning MVP.
In addition to the game itself there are festivities throughout the weekend to engage fans and media. The 3-Point Contest and Skills Challenge are Friday, July 19 and WNBA Live, the fan festival will run both days.
