
With the NBA regular season reaching the halfway point, it’s time to start looking ahead to the play-ins and playoffs to see who could contend for the title this season. Here are all the important dates regarding the 2023 NBA playoffs.
February 17-22: NBA All-Star Break
March 1: Playoff eligibility waiver deadline (players must be waived before this date to be able to join a playoff team)
April 9: End of 2022-2023 NBA regular season
April 10 (before 3:00pm ET): Rosters for playoffs/play-ins must be set
April 11-14: NBA Play-In Tournament (featuring seeds 7-10 in each conference)
April 15: NBA Playoffs begin
April 29-30 or May 1-2: NBA Conference Semifinals begin (tentatively scheduled for May, but could be pushed up to April due to how the previous round plays out)
May 14-15 or May 16-17: NBA Conference Finals begin (tentatively scheduled for May 14-15, but could be pushed up two days due to how the Conference Semifinals play out)
June 1-9: NBA Finals Games 1-4
June 12-18: NBA Finals Games 5-7 (if necessary)
