Women’s World Cup Week 3

The group stage is officially over. Here is all the information needed in regards to how each group ended and who is moving onto the round of 16.

Group A

France finished first with nine points. Norway finished with six. Nigeria is third with three points. Lastly, South Korea finished with zero points.

Group B

Germany distinguished themselves with nine points in order to finish first. Spain came in second with four points. China finished third with four points. South Africa finished with zero points.

Group C

Italy came in first with six points and a goal differential of five. Australia came in a close second with six points and a goal differential of three. Brazil also came in with six points and a goal differential of three but came in third because they had less goal for’s. Jamaica came in fourth with zero points.

Group D

England came in first with nine points. Japan made it into second with four points. Argentina got third with two points and Scotland with one.

Group E

The Netherlands finished on top with nine points. Canada came in three points behind them. Cameroon got third place with three points while New Zealand finished in the last place. With zero points.

Group F

The U.S. finished first with nine points and a goal differential of 18. Sweden came in second with six points. Chile came in three points behind to finish in third place. Thailand came in last with zero points.

Round of 16

The round of 16 will include the top two teams from every bracket and four extra third-place teams. The four teams selected to move onto with the other 12 are Nigeria, China, Brazil, and Cameroon.

The first game will be held Saturday, June 22 at 5:30 am EST.
