

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the largest in the event’s history. There will be 48 teams divided into 12 groups of four teams. Of the 48 teams, 32 will be moving on to the knockout stage. The top two teams from every group will reach the knockout stage, while the eight best third-place teams will also advance. So, when is the 2026 FIFA World Cup?
On June 11, the games will start with group play. That goes from June 11 through June 27. The 32-team knockout stage starts on June 28 and goes through Sunday, July 19. The World Cup Final will be played at 3:00 PM ET on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
