Smite Ix Chel Abilities

Smite continues to bring out fun and seemingly obscure gods and goddesses to the battlefield. While they have not done all of the most known deities, they have done many of them. Instead, they like to go find lesser-known ones and bring them to the spotlight. This is happening with the latest goddess to be revealed, Ix Chel from Mayan lore. Now that she has been revealed, many will be wondering what she does. Here are the Smite Ix Chel Abilities.

Ix Chel is a Mayan goddess who was known to be a goddess of fertility to a certain extent. Specifically, she was the “aged jaguar goddess of midwifery and medicine in ancient Maya culture“. This seems to mean that she was able to bring children into the world while also practicing medicine. There is no doubt that this sets her up to have a very interesting kit.

According to the developer update on her, she will be a mage and is intended to be in the Mid lane. While her abilities are not officially known, she will apparently be unique for a few reasons.

The first is that she will technically have a fifth ability. It is a part of another ability that will only work after hitting an enemy god. Then she will also have a blinding effect with one of her abilities. Third, she will have an ability, presumably the third one shown in her trailer, that will ricochet and seemingly heal allies but damage enemies.

There is no doubt that Ix Chel will be a very interesting addition. Her abilities have not been officially revealed yet. Once they have this article will be updated. Until then checkout what was shown below and see what these abilities could be.

This looks to be a beam of damage in the shape of a triangle. This will likely be her best damaging ability.

This ability seemingly is an aoe knock up. Whether it does damage or not is unknown. It does seem to leave enemies suspended for a short time as well.

This is the unique ricochet ability discussed above. It looks to be an aoe damage and healing ability where the balls of light will go through enemies and allies.

This is Ix Chel’s ultimate and clearly one that is borrowed from Overwatch’s Moira. It blasts through enemies and allies dealing damage to the former and healing the latter.
