Ryan Tannehill Traded to Titans

The Miami Dolphins have traded Ryan Tannehill and a sixth-round pick in 2020 to the Tennessee Titans for a 2020 fourth-round pick and a 2019 seventh-round pick as first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

As part of the deal, Tannehill has restructured his contract, which will be for one year with $7 million guaranteed. He can earn up to $12 million in incentives.

The Titans will use Tannehill as a backup to Marcus Mariota, but he could see the field as Mariota has struggled with injuries throughout his career. He missed two games last season due to injury and started another game on the bench and had to come in later because of injury.

Tannehill, 30, was the first-round pick of the Dolphins in the 2012 NFL Draft. He has thrown for 20,434 passing yards, 123 touchdowns and 75 interceptions on 62.8% completion.

The Dolphins will now have to find a starting quarterback as the only two on the roster are Jake Rudock and Luke Falk.
