A new update is coming to PUBG, and this one is adding a ton of new features that could lead to some game changing strategies. Update 30 is bringing new weapons, vehicles and gameplay mechanics to the game. Many players are getting excited for these new additions. With all of the new changes, you might want to look for ways to get an upper hand before other players learn how to use the features.
The BRDM-2
Possibly the biggest addition in Update 30 is the new vehicle. The BRDM-2 is an amphibious vehicle that will allow players to change from land to water in an instant. It will be replacing the armored UAZ that drops in as a special package from firing off the flare gun. This monster of a vehicle is extremely powerful. Its wheels cannot be busted and it has double the health of a UAZ. If you get your hands on this beast, you’ll be sure to run down a few onlookers in the process.
The only downside to this new ride is that players can’t fire out of it while it is driving in water mode. So, plan accordingly when you are making your escape, or your next attack.
The Deagle
The next new addition to PUBG is the Deagle. The Deagle is a new handgun that packs a devastating punch. It will be taking the top spot as most powerful handgun in the game as it deals 62 damage per shot. Even though it is strong, with heavy damage comes heavy recoil. Be sure to aim carefully, because this gun can pop a level three helmet faster than any pistol. Be one of the first people to master this gun, and you may give yourself the upper hand when it comes to winning a Chicken Dinner.
Ledge Grabbing
Players will now be able to get to new locations with the ledge grab feature. You now have the ability to climb roofs, fences and any other obstacle that is up to 2.5 meters high. Now when you’re looking for that perfect sniper perch, you won’t have to try as hard to get up to a good height. You can activate this feature by pressing the space-bar, just like vaulting or climbing. Use this new ability to your advantage, and get the jump on your opponent.
Gas Cans
Gas cans are finally getting a new use, besides filling up your car. Now, when you place a gas can on the ground, it can be used as an explosive. This opens up a whole new way of trapping an unsuspecting foe who is looking for some loot. If you set one down near a drop, or a high tier loot area, you can shoot it from a distance. This will set off an explosion and damage anyone in its radius. However, you need to be careful. If you are too close to the explosion, you could end up getting yourself, or your teammates killed in the process.
Other Changes
Alongside the big changes, there is also a new radio message system to help players communicate without a mic. Holding F3 will pull up a wheel with multiple options for communication. It will now be much easier to communicate with the random players that drop in on your squad.
Be sure to check out the new features, currently live on the test servers, to formulate your new game plans!
