After another exciting week of competition in the National PUBG League, the Contenders needed to come back with an answer. The NPL Contenders took the stage in week two to show again that they have what it takes. The competition is fierce while trying to jump up into the next league.
Match One
The first match saw a win for Mustache Dave, who had the most impressive game out of all competitions last week with 17 kills. This week, they picked up another Chicken Dinner with a seven kill win over Denial Esports. The final kill was delivered by Mustache Dave’s Microfry, who took the final kill with an SKS.
Match Two
After a long, drawn out battle for match two, Trifecta took the win with 10 kills over Denial. Denial’s CloudTail tried to overcome the odds and find a way to take out the remaining members of Trifecta, but fell short as the blue wall closed in. This landed Denial another close second.
Match Three
The third match of the day went to ReinvenT who took down Zenith in a shootout that could have gone either way. ReinvenT made a huge impact on the NPLC with this 15-kill game. They are yet another Contender’s team who are showing that they have the ability to put up a massive number of kills.
Match Four
Right out of their impressive performance in match three, ReinvenT came back and took another Chicken Dinner. They added seven more kills to their tally as they took down Elevate who were looking to add to their win count from week one. The game came down to a shootout in a small hut where ReinvenT showed their skill in a tough situation.
As week two comes to a close, the National PUBG League Contenders have proven once again that they are ready to compete at the text level. Mustache Dave remains in first place after seizing a win in the first round. They are now being tailed by a close second, ReinvenT, who are only below them by one point on the table. Elevate are following them up in third.
Week Two Standouts
The standouts from this week are ReinvenT and Denial. ReinvenT went from having no wins in week one, to a quick two this week. They showed that they are clinical when it comes to finishing a game and there is no doubt that they will be looking to carry this momentum into week three. Denial may not have claimed any Chicken Dinners this week, but they had two close seconds that showed that they have the ability to stick through to the end in tough situations. After almost tasting victory twice, they will be looking to claim victory in week three.
Will Mustache Dave be able to hold off ReinvenT and other up and coming teams in week three? Check back next week to see more of the Contender’s action.
