The new mainline Pokemon games have finally been revealed. Pokemon Gen 10 will be called, Pokemon Winds and Waves. After learning about the names and some other major features, the biggest question remains. What is Pokemon Winds & Waves Release Date?

As of now, the official Pokemon Winds & Waves Release Date is not know but we do have a year.
The first trailer for Gen 10 showed that the games would arrive sometime in 2027. Many had been expecting the game to release near the end of 2026. So, to say the 2027 release window was a surprise would be an understatement.
With the way 2026 is going for Pokemon though, it looks as if they potentially have more in store that fans may not expect.

The question then becomes, is a 2027 release date good or bad for Winds and Waves?

There are currently two camps that seem to be forming. The first are fans who are disappointed that Gen 10 will not come out at the end of 2026 as was expected. Even by then, it will have been four years since Scarlet and Violet were released. This will have been one of the longest mainline content droughts in Pokemon history.
The other camp is glad that Pokemon Winds and Waves are getting released in 2027. Mainly due to the fact that they want The Pokemon Company and Game Freak to take their time making these games. They do not want all of the glitches and subpar graphics.
Where both camps may be sad if if they announce the games now, only to release them at the end of 2027. It feels like there is a real chance that we could see a release date for Winds & Waves sometime in early 2027. Maybe, even on Pokemon Day 2027.
