Swalot is the evolved form of Gulpin. It is a Poison-type Pokemon with a large body, a cavernous mouth and toxic fluids that help it weaken prey before swallowing it whole.
Swalot is usually used as a bulky utility Poison-type rather than a fast sweeper. Its high HP, useful resistances and access to moves such as Toxic, Sludge Bomb, Gunk Shot, Knock Off, Encore, Stockpile and Pain Split let it disrupt opponents while absorbing hits. It can work well on casual teams that need a durable status spreader, although its low Speed and only average attacking stats limit it in faster competitive formats.
