Pokemon Pokopia Bubbly Basin: Everything You Need to Know

During the June 2026 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that Pokemon Pokopia will be receiving its first expansion DLC. Pokemon Pokopia Bubbly Basin will have players exploring underwater towns and expressing themselves with brand-new accessories, clothing items, and furniture. With in-game bonuses for those who purchase the DLC, here’s everything to know about Pokemon Pokopia Bubbly Basin before its launch in August 2026.

Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass Breakdown

As mentioned previously, the Pokemon Pokopia Bubbly Basin DLC will focus on a more aquatic adventure, allowing players to interact with various sea Pokemon and their associated cosmetics. This update will be broken up into 3 separate parts. Part 1 includes the new area, Bubbly Basin, and, with it, a free DLC update will launch sometime in August 2026. This update will grant all players the special move Dive, which will be available for them to learn. Players must complete the quest “Raise the environment level” in Bleak Beach to learn the ability. This move is available to ALL players, regardless of whether they purchased the expansion pass.

Part 2 of the expansion pass is scheduled to arrive late 2026, and Part 3 will come out sometime in 2027. Part 2 will include new features and crafting recipes, and Part 3 will have a whole new town, among other features, to explore.

No price for the DLC has been revealed, but the Pokemon and Nintendo communities are speculating it could cost between $20 and $30.

Pokopia Bubbly Basin Rewards

On top of purchasing the new Pokemon Pokopia Expansion Pass, players can claim 2 bonus rewards. Those rewards are Ditto print blocks and wallpaper. Anyone who makes the decision to purchase Pokopia Bubbly Basin by Tuesday, August 31, 2027, will receive a code for 30 rare Pokemetal ingots. This code will be sent via email and can be redeemed via the Mystery Gifts feature in-game.
