Pokemon Legends Z-A: What are Mega Fragments?

Publish Date: July 29, 2025

Mega Pokemon are back and in a big way with Pokemon Legends Z-A. Not only are there all-new Mega Evolutions for older Pokemon but the method of how those evolutions happen is changing too. Here is a look at what Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Fragments are and what you can do with them.

Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Fragments

Mega Fragments are a new collectable in Pokemon Legends Z-A.

They will be scattered throughout Lumiose City and will be fairly obvious to find. They will be a pink stone and will be growing on different parts of buildings, boxes and from the ground. While we do not know what is causing them to do this, it likely is what is making Pokemon Mega Evolve on their own. This creates the Rogue Mega Pokemon that the player will have to battle in the game.

Once you collect a certain number of these Mega Fragments, you will be able to take them back to Quasartico Inc. There, you will exchange them for Mega Stones. Which ones are unclear at this time. There are a multitude of different ways to get Mega Stones it would seem in Legends Z-A. Once more is known, we will have information on it here at The Game Haus.

Mega Evolution in Legends Z-A

There is no doubt that Mega Evolution will be the main focus of Pokemon Legends Z-A.

While it was in Pokemon X & Y, it seems as though it will once again be the pivatol part of the story in Z-A. You will be working to take down Rogue Mega Pokemon while also finding out why it is happening. The fact that Quasartico Inc. has so much interest in it and the Prism Tower is seemingly locked down makes it feel as though those two are connected.

Mega Dragonite was recently revealed and if the rumors are true, then it is just the first of over 20 more Mega Evoltutions coming in Legends Z-A. Buckle up because Mega Evolution is changing the world of Pokemon at least one more time.
