Just after Pokemon Go finishes one event, the next one comes right around. This one seems to be the addition of some new Pokemon and ones that may not even really be connected in any way. The Season of Light event is on its way. The first new Pokemon coming to Pokemon Go is Inkay and presumably, it’s evolved form Malamar.
[Related: Every Scarlet and Violet Pokemon]
Below is the Tweet revealing Inkay coming to Pokemon Go.
For those who do not want to read upside down. Here is what it says.
“From 11:00 am to 2:00 pm local time on September 3, you can pick up field research tasks that lead to encounters with Inkay. Everything is topsy-turvy when the revolving Pokemon is around!”
As one can see this is likely when the Pokemon Go Season of Light event will start. Cosmog and Cosmoem are on their way as well. This likely means that the legendaries Solgaleo and Lunala will also be coming to Pokemon Go.
The other Pokemon that were teased have not been announced yet. There are over 1,000 Pokemon now and with Scarlet and Violet coming out that will only increase. Not every Pokemon has been added to Pokemon Go and this seems to be the start of a few more being added.
Inkay while squid-like is not a water type. In fact, it is a Psychic and Dark Pokemon. It was added along with Malamar back in Generation Vi in the X and Y games of the series. Inkay has also been seen in the anime as one belonged to James of Team Rocket.
As more announcements are made about the Season of Light event The Game Haus will be here to keep all players updated.
